Obsidiana Capital made an early-stage investment in the Rey de Oro gold mine project, located in Sinaloa, Mexico. Within its 500-hectare concession area only 35-hectare section has been preliminarily explored by SGM. Several mineral veins were discovered and one of these is being operated on a small scale. Geological work within this 35-hectare area indicates an average ore grade of 11 g/t for gold (Au) and 31 g/t for silver (Ag). According to the "334 standard" this area alone has an inferred resource of 400 000 tons. With its high-grade deposits and vast unexplored territory, Rey de Oro has potential to become a mega-project.
El Zafiro Project is another featured in our portfolio, a luxury resort development in the exclusive Costa Alegre region of Mexico. Co-developed with LVMH Group's prestigious Cheval Blanc brand, this project will mark the debut of their first hotel in the Americas. Set on 910 hectares of stunning landscape, the high-end development includes a 78-room hotel, an 18-hole Robert von Hagge golf course, and up to 525 branded villas and luxury residences.
